Caprese Salad

This Caprese salad is fresh, healthy, and simple. I keep all these ingredients on hand to throw together for when I feel peckish but don't want to make anything elaborate. In only 3 minutes you have a great snack or appetizer.


Ingredients:

  • Fresh basil

  • Baby tomatoes 🍅 , halved if you prefer

  • Fresh mozzarella (I use Trader Joe's marinated mozzarella pearls)

  • Splash of balsamic vinegar

  • A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil

  • Chili 🌶 flakes (optional)

  • Rough salt and fresh black pepper to taste


Instructions:

  1. Chop basil and pull apart mozzarella pearls. Combine all ingredients then season as desired.

  2. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
